Check out my upcoming concerts and events!
Would love to see you there!
I am a co-founder of Arx Music Association where I perform as a member of arx duo, based in Seattle, WA. We believe that music and performance inspire many people to be creative and open-minded. Besides performing in concert halls and galleries, there are three main components to arx’s mission that we value and strive for: education, collaboration, and commissioning.
We've recently premiered Dominic Murcott’s Harmonic Canon at the Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival and the Royal Albert Hall in the U.K. The recording of Harmonic Canon was released by a UK label, nonclassical. Available on Spotify in US.
I am a member of The Percussion Collective which was born at Yale School of Music in New Haven, CT. It's a group of percussionists who all studied with the legend marimbist/chamber musician, Robert van Sice.
We've been touring with the newly commissioned Seaborne, an immersive multimedia work by Emmy Award-winning composer Garth Neustadter and videographer Kjell van Sice that celebrates the beauty of our world’s ocean. Other recent premieres include the concerto version of Seaborne for Percussion Sextet and String Orchestra, and Drum Circles (Percussion Quartet and Orchestra) by Christopher Theofanidis.
I've been a faculty member of the Young Artist Summer Program at Curtis Summerfest since 2015. It is my honor and pleasure to teach what I've learned at where I learned: Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, PA.
The program is three weeks long in every July for musicians age 14 to 22. I teach lessons, coach chamber groups, give lectures, run orchestra sectionals, and host rhythm classes to all musicians. Also, I get to be back on stage at Field Concert Hall for faculty recitals.
It is always nice to be back in Philly, which I identify as my musical home. Please contact me if you are interested in participating.
